STOP 0x1000007E Message in Windows Vista

A STOP error in Windows operating system can occur due to software or hardware malfunctioning. After a STOP error message appears, it halts the booting process of the Windows operating system and also makes the data stored in the hard drive inaccessible. In such situations, if the user has not maintained any back up of the inaccessible data, then he needs to use effective Data Recovery Software to completely recover and restore the data.

Consider some practical scenarios, when a user resume the system from hibernation mode, he may encounter one of the following issues:

·        The user discovers that the device (attached to the computer) such as, fingerprint reader, a Windows Media Center remote control, an optical drive, a FeliCa reader etc. has crashed or is not working properly. The user also views a yellow exclamation mark next to the device in the Device Manager.

·        The user removes the device by using the Safely Remove Hardware option. However, the user is not able to reconnect the device to the computer system. After this problem arises, the computer system can crash when the user restarts or shuts down the system.

·        The user encounters any of the below STOP error messages when he tries to connect a USB device to the computer system:

"STOP 0x1000007E
usbhub.sys
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"
Or
"STOP 127
PAGE_NOT_ZERO_NVIDIA_USB"

The main cause of the above STOP error messages is that the Windows Vista based computer is using 2 gigabytes (GB) or more of RAM and an NVIDIA nForce EHCI (Enhanced Host Controller Interface) controller.

After any of the above errors, the operating system crashes and the hard drive data becomes inaccessible. To solve this issue and to access the data, the user needs to add a registry value. To do so, the user should follow these steps:

1. The user should follow:
Start > Run > regedit and click on OK button.
The Registry Editor window will open.
2. Now he needs to locate the below registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesHidUsb
3. The user needs to right-click HidUsb, Select New, and then click DWORD Value to create the below key:
FastResumeDisable
4. The user needs to double-click FastResumeDisable, type 1, and then click OK.
5. Finally, the user needs to exit from the Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

If the user encounters the same STOP error messages even after adding the registry value, then he needs to perform Data Recovery using advanced recovery applications. Data Recovery Software possess information as file signatures and they are created after advanced analysis of file systems that store the files and file types. They recover and restore the lost data by incorporating influential and advanced scanning algorithms.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery offers absolute and systematic Data Recovery in all logical crash scenarios. It supports FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, NTFS and NTFS5 file systems based Windows partitions and volumes. It is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 2003 and 2000. This File Recovery software also offers advanced RAW recovery.
